Virginia is for Lovers

Hi people that have been following the adventures of the Jones family! Our voyage ends on May 6th. So maybe you were worried that the Joneses would no longer be Journeying. We simply couldn't let that happen.

So stay tuned because in July the Jones fam will be heading to the opposite coast and setting up shop in Charlottesville, Virginia. Luke is going to continue working with Semester at Sea through ISE, the Institute for Shipboard Education. We'll keep you up-to-date as we get ready for this move - and please let us know what you know about Virginia. Neither of us have spent much time on the East Coast, so we're looking forward to hearing from anyone who has!

Congratulations on the job! I'm sure it feels good to have a concrete plan. I just wish it wasn't so far away.

I can't believe your trip around the world is over...I feel like I missed so much of it! Oh well, I look forward to reading about your adventures in VA. Charlottesville is absolutely beautiful, and in the top 10 places to raise a family (at least according to a list I read recently). I think you will really enjoy it! Watch out for those hot, humid days during the summer though! I have been to VA a handful of times, Charlottesville included, and there are many wonderful things about that part of the country.
If you get the chance to go to Richmond they have a great burger place called Five Guys that you have to try. Enjoy!
